New Delhi: A 35-year-old man was shot dead by his brother in southwest Delhi's Bindapur because of a longstanding property dispute between the siblings. The accused was arrested along with three others who conspired with him, said police. The incident came to light on Feb 10, when a PCR call was made to the Bindapur police station at 10 pm, reporting the murder of a man named Dharminder Dalal behind the caller's house in Matiala Village, Uttam Nagar. "Our team reached the spot and found that the victim, Dharminder Dalal, shot dead at his property in Matiala by his brother, Ravinder," police said, adding, a property dispute between the two and a monetary dispute over the division of rental income is the alleged motive behind the murder. Both have a rental property business, police said. "Tension between the brothers escalated when the father favoured one of the siblings, leading to Ravinder's argument with the brother on Monday, after which he shot him dead and fled," police said. Cops arrested the victim's elder brother Ravinder, and his friends Satinder, Zahid, and Amneesh. During interrogation, they confessed to the crime. A case has been registered under section 103 (murder) of BNS.TNN
