Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly assaulted woman in 1991, moments before stampede that killed nine

Two women filed lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs on Friday. As reported by the Rolling Stone, One woman in a lawsuit has alleged that Combs sexually assaulted her at a City College of New York basketball game in December 1991, shortly before a deadly stampede. The other woman claims Combs drugged and sexually assaulted her at a 2006 party in New York. Combs' lawyers responded to the allegations, stating, “Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone or engaged in sex trafficking.” The first lawsuit, filed by a Jane Doe (pseudonym), claims Combs gave her a drink in a makeshift dressing room at the basketball game. She alleges that after consuming the drink, she felt unwell and Combs subsequently assaulted her. She claims Combs threatened her when she said she would report the incident. According to Doe, when she left, she saw “chaotic” scene outside the makeshift dressing room. Notably, in the 1991 City College stampede , nine people were crushed to death at the bottom of the staircase, while 29 others were injured. Meanwhile in the second lawsuit was filed by LaTroya Grayson. She alleges that she became ill after having two drinks at a party hosted by Combs. She claims she woke up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there. Grayson’s lawsuit names several co-defendants, including the radio station that ran the contest she won to attend the party, Atlantic Records, and Delta Airlines. Combs' lawyers responded to Grayson’s claims saying: “Ms. Grayson admits she has no memory of the events alleged in her complaint, does not know who was supposedly involved, and has never spoken to Mr. Combs. Her allegations against him are pure fiction. As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every baseless lawsuit and lawyer-driven money grab. Combs was arrested in September on racketeering and sex trafficking charges and has pleaded not guilty.
